Even in the best of circumstances, business partnerships can be fraught with conflict

People become co-owners or Partners of a business because they believe they will be better off with a larger entity than as a sole owner or sole practitioner. They have high expectations for a blissful and financially rewarding relationship. Unfortunately these expectations are often elusive.

How Werth Resolve can assist:

a) Naviagate partnership and joint venture dissolutions.

b) Help parties resolve their dispute and maintain their business relationship in place.

c) Assist parties to design a program that will keep them focused and working together. This includes assisting parties to draft a 'Business Charter'.

A Business Charter addresses those matters that are not discussed in partnership or shareholder agreements or in management structure and job descriptions.

Many individuals have not thought through their own short and long-term goals. By not knowing their own foibles and ignoring their different personalities, goals and values -- they set themselves up for a lot of unnecessary grief and often, failure.

c) Partnership/joint venture dissolutions -  including distribution of assets.

Elder Family Mediation

Old and Young

Satisfaction Guaranteed

When a parents’ health begins to fail or they can’t do the things they used to, all family members are affected. Each child may have a different idea as to what is in that parents best interest. All these varying opinions and emotions among the parents and adult siblings can cause contentious discussions and hurt feelings.

As neutral mediators trained in conflict resolution, we work with the family to defuse and sort out the complex disagreements and unresolved issues relating to the parent or parents. Examples of potential conflicts that we can assist with include:

a) Living arrangements – the family home, assisted living communities or living with a child;

b) Financial decisions – who controls the money and how decisions are made, fairly dividing the assets and the responsibilities;

c) Family heirlooms and possessions.
